For ages I’ve been thinking about how much I’d like to get out of the house on the weekends and just go explorining, but have never been too sure where to go. So as fate would have it this Saturday evening I was at the bookstore down on The Plaza and spotted a book titled Day Trips From Kansas City.

Naturally I picked it up and started browsing through all the day trips listed to cities, parks, & exibits on both the Kansas and Missouri side. (For those who don’t know, Kansas City is located right on the state line seperating Kansas and Missouri. – I live on the Missouri side.) There are quite a few interesting trips in there and I can’t wait to go exploring this summer when I get the chance!

Katy Trail looks to be first on my weekend daytrip list, but Leila’s Hair Museum looks interesting too.
