You may have noticed that I haven’t given away too much info about my new job, but now I definitely feel comfortable explaining exactly what it is I was just hired to do. If you take a look you might notice my newly added banner up top (it’s been there for the past month or so) for Save the Children and that’s because my new job is working as a face-to-face fund raiser for company called Dialogue Direct and we are doing fund raising for Save the Children. Basically, my job is beat the streets everyday with my team and talk to people about Save the Children to help them in their decision to become sponsors.

The people I work with are fantastic and are truly a pleasure to be around all day. Plus there’s the added benefit of it being a fantastic job and one that I’m excited to get up for every morning which seriously makes my whole day a breeze even if it is cold and rainy.

That’s not to say it’s all sunshine and roses… so not the case! It can be a particularly tough job where sometimes it’s difficult just to get 3 sponsors out of the thousands of people that pass by in a day. But the reward of getting one is oh-so worth it in the end! So, all in all it’s a fun job with great people and a challenging atmosphere and I’m loving every moment of it! I’ve only been working here 6 days, but I already feel at home.

And for the fun of it… here’s a video that might give you more of an idea of what I do every day. :) If I don’t post again before this weekend I hope you have a fantabulous week!
