I was going through my written journal a few nights ago and decided I really should add in some entries from my trip to Europe (finally!) since this *is* supposed to be somewhat of a travel journal after all. I thought about adding them as current entries with a note about the original date they were written, but in the end I decided on just doing backdated entries. So, here’s one I recently added if you’re interested.
Sept. 15, 2005: To Amsterdam

Unrelated to any of the above, I thought I’d share something amusing.
Yesterday I logged into my e-mail and clicked on an email from 43things.com. The e-mails are usually questions related to a goal I completed, but instead I read this:

Dear future self,

I’m reminding you about your stated goal on 43 things, to
“Fall in love”.

How’s it going?

Sincerely,
Your past self

And I just had to laugh. Yet again the exquisit timing of this event has me thinking that coincidences aren’t as coincidental as I’d believe them to be. It was definitely a pleasant suprise in my inbox. Maybe this is the beginning of something.
