In approximately three weeks I will be in Florida training to be an Internet Manager on board a luxury cruise ship! A few weeks ago I made the decision to really pursue a job on a cruise ship. I found such an amazing resource and wealth of information from WorkOnCruiseShips.com and I can’t say enough about the people on the forums who guided me along the way. In fact through the site I came across Stacy’s blog http://sashasatsea.blogspot.com/ where she described her awesome job as manager of an internet cafe. Through my contact with Stacy I was lead to understand the position more and I added ‘internet manager’ as another position (in addition to Photographer, obviously) to apply for.

So, last weekend I had my awesome uncle come look over my resume and then sent them out on Tuesday. I made the decision to over-night my resumes to Sea Mobile (internet manager positions) and Image Services (photography positions) so they’d arrive on Wednesday, a commonly known slower business day in general. Wouldn’t you know it… I got a call Wednesday evening! I had my first interview Thursday with David and felt really good about it at the end. Friday afternoon I got a call from Maria for my second interview and it went wonderfully! About 30 minutes after the second interview I got the phone call offering me a position and a tentative date of 3 weeks until I fly in for training.

I came home and did the celebratory dance while squealing like I’d won the lottery. Needless to say it has been a WHIRLWIND week! I have feeling the next few weeks will be even crazier, so you know what that means… Adventures!!
