The jitters are gone for now. Complete elatedness has taken over. The red and yellow DHL package on the counter after a long day at work gets a squeal of delight out of me. Why? It’s my trainpass and handy-dandy (free!) phrase book. Only 16 days! Hoelang doet het erover?
Our ideal itinerary (because you just never know what might change in 2 months) is finally done. Here’s our planned destinations. London, Amsterdam, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Nice, Genova, Rome, Bari or Brindisi (for the ferry to Greece), Athens, Florence, Venice, and Munich then back to London. It may seem like a lot, but Barcelona, Nice, Genova and Bari are mostly 1 or 2 planned resting days, not to mention the 15 hour ferry to and from Greece.
The good thing is, we bought our tickets through STA Travel and they only charge us a $25 fee (plus any additional airfare estimated around $25-$100) if we decide to change our tickets and stay longer! So, we might just do that. :)
I also finally got my pack. Went to Backwoods a travel store and the guy there was super helpful and friendly. He let me walk around the store with different packs and helped me out a ton. I finally decided on the Women’s Osprey Waypoint 60. It has supper comfortable (curved) shoulder straps for my womanly shoulders. LOL Not to mention I could walk around easily/comfortably with the pack on, in high heels no less! I was sold. And in case you were wondering, the main bag is 3,100 cu. in and daypack is 600 cu. in. so 3700 cu. in total, though I doubt I’ll use the daypack unless I have to.

Well it’s extremely late (3:05 a.m. to be precise) and I’m about to fall asleep, so I’m thinking the bed seems very inviting at the moment. More updates soon.
